So today I am blogging about something very personal that I think every parent, aunt, friend of a young child should see:

My 3 1/2 year old nephew swallowed a Chuck E Cheese coin Thursday afternoon and was violently throwing up as it was lodged in his esophagus. Thankfully, it was lodged in a way which he was still able to breathe and speak as he said "Mommy, I swallowed Chuck E Cheese money." After going to the local hospital (which has no pediatric unit for emergencies,) he was rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where my brother and sister-in-law were told it was not an 'emergency' so they would have to wait until morning to have it removed. Obviously this news was horrifying in that it rotating or shifting the smallest bit could cause it to close his airway and for him to both stop breathing and lose consciousness. He was fine through the night (thank god) and made a speedy recovery - coming home as the same rowdy, adorable, silly 3 year old boy he is. 

He recovered just fine but let this be a lesson.

My nephew is not dumb, in fact he is the smartest 3 year old I know, so we were all very surprised that he did this. Be aware at all times, life is too precious. 

The Very First Blog

So here I am, ready to get Lovelee Print some more hits as well as talk about the trials and tribulations of well, being brand new to the small business society that thus far has only gotten me anywhere on Etsy.com.

After working a normal 8 hour day I arrived home with one thing in mind: to finally post and sell something in my Etsy store. I posted 3 things, a pumpkin card that read "If you were a pumpkin, I'd Pick You." (I know, I know, it's genious) As well as a set of greeting cards that say "Fall in Love" 5 cards blank on the inside to celebrate love, autumn and love in autumn! Lastly I posted a set of memo cards that read "Happy Fall."

Long story short - I woke up the next morning to a sale! That's right, my first sale the first day! By the end of this first week I sold 9 cards, which for me was a BIG accomplishment! Long story short the only thing I sold was in fact the Pumpkin card! I could not believe how successful this card was but I have to say I was somewhat disappointed that none of my other products sold.

By the end of the second day I sold 5 of the same card, none of the other and decided to post a new fall inspired card with the same lovey-dovey autumn theme.

Thus came "Don't Change."

Playing off the fact that leaves change, though you love them just the way they are - almost as people do.



Long story short I think I am doing pretty well on Etsy considering my short-lived time there.
Friday I posted a few new products and am VERY low on views (though I don't necessarily think that should matter.)
